BBB: Bold in Blue and Burgundy

Hello my dearest fashionable friends, it’s been months since I’ve last posted but that’s because life has taken over me. I am excessively exhausted with full time school, work and an internship that I am required to do for grad school but I managed to go to sleep early this past Friday so I can wake up the next day and shoot a few looks with my amazing friend and photographer Mani Andreone. 

Since it has been a great fall so far in New York I wanted to incorporate some colors within the outfit that I wore this past weekend. I was absolutely ecstatic to be able to wear my burgundy polyester casual and cropped pants from StyleWe. Even though I decided to wear these pants with my white sneakers from Zara, I can also wear them with a sophisticated work blouse or button down during the workdays when I go to work or my internship. Even though some of us might be in love with wearing black it’s good to merge some color into our fashion. Since I was wearing my white sneakers I decided to not wear a white top and exclude black so I was left with this gorgeous light royal blue soft blouse from HM.  I hope that everyone is enjoying the last few months of 2016 J xo  

The Bag is from Aldo but it's sold out and the shirt is from HM which is also sold out. However, I would definitely encourage everyone to go to their websites because they have similar tops in HM and similar cross-body bags in Aldo.

A Giveaway Gone Right

Hi lovely people, I hope that everyone is enjoying their three day weekend! We have one more day left so let's take advantage of it!Summer is almost over so I've been trying to wear clothes that show my skin! haha I can't stand the winter so I want to be able to enjoy my last days of freedom with summer. I know that a lot of people enjoy layering up and I do too but to a certain extent. When it's 15 degrees outside, I don't think about fashion but I think about not freezing to death. Funny story about this dress that I am wearing. When I first created my Instagram account about 1 in a half year ago I entered a random brand giveaway and guess what? I won! So I received a $100 gift card. With that gift card I purchased this dress. The brand is called Vinnue.  They offer vintage inspired apparel, accessories and home decorations. The esthetic of this dress gives you an appearance of presenting yourself as a classy girly girl or you can turn the girly vibe into sporty the way I did by adding these white clean fashionable sneakers from Zara. Since the dress is beige and light brown I thought that it would be best to add a bright lipstick so my face complexion does not blend in with the dress. Two other accessories that I decided to add to my outfit were this backpack from Poshmark and I am literally obsessed with the touch of the fringe on it. Another piece are these gorgeous sunnies from one of my favorite vintage shops called Buffalo Exchange.

Easy, Confident and Sophisticated

Happy Thursday Everyone! So part of collaborating with Dezzal, I had the opportunity of choosing this stunning two-piece set. The capri wide leg pants were what caught my eye. I loved the idea of the pants having a different cut and shape to it. Instead of wearing regular slim or skinny pants. These were a great choice. So easy to put on and they're very light, perfect for the summer. Something else that I fell in love with are the pockets on the pants. We all love pockets, the thought of walking on the street and placing your hands inside your pockets it's such a cool thing. & Let's not forget that it is very useful so we can put our phones in it. 

Besides the pants, let's also admit that the top is very cute as well. The rectangle cuts on the sides give it a chic feeling to it. The same light material that the pants have so does the top. Therefore, being able to wear this outfit for two events that I had in the same day was the best choice I ever made. When it came to pairing this twoset with heels, I wasn't sure if I should go with a bold color or keep it clean by wearing black. As you see i made the choice of wearing these black, lace up heels from SIMMI.

Summer Trend: OTS Tops

Happy Sunday Everyone! So I have to let you guys know that this was my last "free" weekend before starting school next week. I will begin my intense two semesters before taking the MSW exam and becoming a certified social worker. This means that I will work part-time, do a field placement, go to school and blog. I hope that everyone can bare with me. I am very excited and nervous at the same time but I will get through this. 

Anywho, back to my fashion world *flips hair" haha I am so excited regarding my collaboration with Dezzal . I had to jump on the fashion trend wagon and choose this off the shoulder blue top. I see off the shoulder tops everywhere I go and for some reason I just never felt like purchasing one. Therefore, when I saw this top I thought why not give it a try and TA-DA it ended up looking amazing on me. The top is true to size and it fits very well.   The hint of ruffles on the bottom combined with the bell sleeves give it that touch of girlyness that's needed on the shirt. The blue stripes over the white allow me to play around with the shirt and pick it up a bit up or leave it down. 

September is approaching and so is fall. Therefore, we still have time to rock some off the shoulder tops. The links are all linked to the shirt and all of them are under $50. Click it and buy it before the summer ends. Every girl should own at least one off the shoulder top. xo

July: Project Re-Design

Hi fashion lovers! I am so excited to announce another project-redesign that I worked on with my fellow blogger friend Chelsea H. from www.chelseaasoflate.com. So Chelsea had this idea of doing something with a denim skirt and of course I thought that this idea was amazing because denim is so in right now. We tried on a bunch of items from HM. I really liked this denim skirt idea so we both decided to purchase this item hm skirt. At first I really thought that this was a challenge for me. I had no idea what I would be able to do with it.

So I started to think really hard and told myself "Why not make a denim bag out of it". I already knew how to create a tote bag from a shirt so I did the same thing when I decided to create this denim bag. So much cutting and sewing took place but it was all worth it. I had an old casual vintage bag from the past so I cut out the straps in order to sew it into this new denim bag. I feel like too much designing or colors would have looked tacky on the bag so I decided to leave it clean. On the other hand, Chelsea loved this skirt so much that she wasn't able to do cut it up. I respect her decision a lot because I thought twice about cutting this skirt up. It was difficult to do it but I felt like I had to because I had to be committed to my project. Something else that's really trending now are button pins and that's what Chelsea to give her skirt a little chic taste. 

It was great shooting this look together with Chelsea because she decided to keep it simplistic and I, on the other hand turned the skirt into a very dramatic change. So to be able to view both skirts from different angles was a good style to the project.
